About Sinead

I'm a mum first — to two daughters and to Ozzy, our Cocker Spaniel who keeps family life very real. That perspective shapes everything I do with children and families.

Why I do this work

After years in broadcasting, becoming a parent changed my priorities. I saw how complex childhood can be — the big feelings, the worries, and the struggles children cannot always put into words. I wanted meaningful work that fitted family life and genuinely helped.

Training and experience

I trained as a Relax Kids coach in 2016, when school wellbeing programmes were still new in Northern Ireland. Since then — especially after the pandemic — structured, preventative emotional support has become more important than ever. My husband works as a hypnotherapist, so conversations about mental health and resilience have always been part of our home.

When your child is struggling, calm professional support outside your immediate circle can help the whole family — not only your child.

What families can expect

I understand how overwhelming it can feel when you are unsure how best to help. Sessions are practical, warm, and age-appropriate — never therapy, always focused on tools children can use in everyday life.

Families often return with younger siblings or recommend sessions through word of mouth. That trust means a great deal, and it is something I never take for granted.

My aim is simple: to give children, families, and schools strategies that build calm, confidence, and resilience in a way that feels safe, supportive, and achievable.
